Videography FAQ

How much experience do you have as Videographer? I have 8 years of professional experience using Canon MINIDV cameras.

Do you film the events yourself? Yes, with up to two assistants. The footage available for demo is a sample of their work, as well as my own.

Do you have a wireless microphone? Yes, I use an Audio Techa wireless microphone with the Canon XHA1, High Definition Camera.

Do you bring back up equipment with you? I carry (2) cameras with me at all times. If there is an equipment failure, a back-up camera is available. If your event is using both cameras, a partial refund would be made for the single camera angle used. (This has never occured)

Do you visit the ceremony and reception sites before the wedding? Events held within the Fresno County area are visited prior to the event.

Do you edit the tape after the event. This is done at clients request and purchase. All videography packages do include edited footage. Raw footage is available for purchase at an additional charge. My goal is to have all edited DVD's available for pick-up within 10 business days. This is very different from other local vendors who can take as long as a year to complete a 90 minute DVD.

What do the packages include? At a minimum a client receives the professional videgraphy services of myself or an assistant for 4 hours, a fully edited DVD with titles and a menu with background music. Please refer to the Packages link for further details.

What is your payment policy? I require 33% for a reservation fee when the date is booked. I require the remaining 1/3 one month prior to the event and the final 1/3 1 week prior to the event. I accept cash and check and PAYPAL.

What is your cancellation policy? Cancellations made 6 months prior to the booked event are eligible for a 25% partial refund of the reservation fee. Cancellations less than 30 days in advance are not eligible for a refund.

Do you offer a money back guarantee? Content is subjective and no money back guarantee can be made, our apologies.

Can additional DVD's or VHS copies be purchased? Yes, we strongly suggest purchasing additional copies of the DVD with a photo montage of wedding photographs as gifts for Parents, wedding party members and guests who could not attend. (photo montage available using non-copyrighted photographs only.)

Do you allow other Photographers or Videographers at the event? No other Videographers, professional or amatuer, will be allowed to film or photograph during posed shots or during interviews at the reception.

Do you use a light while filming at night? We try to be as unobtrusive as possible, however at times it will be necessary to use a video light to illuminate the situation enough for the camera to capture it on tape. This does not mean that a reception held outside with candles for ambient light can be properly lit using an on-camera video light. Composure Photo & Videography can not be responsible for low-lit or dark scenes on the video due to a complete lack of ambient light.

Can you show the montage? Yes. Composure Photo & Videography can supply the screen, LCD projector, DVD player and sound out to your DJ. This includes setting up during the reception for viewing while guests eat or dinner or cake.
